FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control is asking for any information on a guinea pig that was found in a dumpster earlier this month.

A guinea pig was found in a dumpster on November 4th. A concerned citizen called Animal Care and Control saying they found the guinea pig alive in a dumpster near Farington Drive and North Clinton.

So far, Animal Care and Control officials haven't found the guinea pig's previous owner and they're looking for any information on the case as pet abandonment is a crime. If you have information, contact Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control at 260-427-1244 and press option 1.

FWACC has posted more information on the case here.
