MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) — U.S. Marshals are looking for Steven Sumner, a former Madison County Councilman and preacher, who is wanted for 18 counts of child sex crimes – which include 15 counts related to rape.

Sumner was elected as a Madison County Councilman in 2014 and 2018.

He served as a pastor for the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Anderson.

Officials believe Sumner has a support network providing him with everything from money to transportation and even fake I-D’s.
