A Violent Crash In Howard County Ended With Deadly Results

KOKOMO, Ind. (WOWO) — Indiana State Police tell WOWO News that a crash involving a Kokomo Police car happened when the driver of a second vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic on SR-931 near SR 22 on the city’s East Side.

Troopers say the officer attempted to avoid the crash but struck the second vehicle on the passenger side.

Police believed the driver of the second vehicle to be under the influence of alcohol.

He was transported with minor injuries. A 55-year-old woman in his car died at the scene.

The Kokomo police officer was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.
