FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A former Target on South Anthony Boulevard is going to have new life later this year after sitting dormant for years.
Lifeline Data Centers bought the former Target building and had hoped to open in the building by the end of last year, according to 21Alive. However, a company spokesman says that its data center in Indianapolis kept them too tied up to deal with that property.
Demolition at the former Target started last week and crews have been working inside cleaning up and clearing space. Architectural drawings are expected to be complete in the next week or two.
Once permitting is done, the center will hopefully open by November or December of 2016. 90 to 100 high tech and high paying jobs are expected to be filled at the data center.
