FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A couple of Fort Wayne retirees are a million dollars richer.
Ernie and Sherrill Johnson won $1-million off a Hoosier Lottery scratch-off ticket Ernie bought at a convenience store on Wayne Trace on April 2nd, according to Lottery officials.
He’s a retired Navistar engineer, and Sherill is a retired social worker. The couple has two grown daughters and two grandchildren with a third on the way.
The two plan on donating a tenth of their winnings to their church, and investing the rest.
Odds of winning the top prize on that particular scratch-off game are 1 in more than 2 million.
