FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The victim of a head on crash northeast of Fort Wayne Wednesday night has been identified.
The crash happened at about 10:30 PM on St. Joe Road north of Notestine Road when two cars ran into one another head-on.
The Allen County Coroner's Office says 29 year old Derek Cervantes of Fort Wayne died of blunt force trauma. It's not yet known if alcohol is a factor in the accident or if Cervantes was wearing a seatbelt.
He's the 16th traffic fatality in Allen County this year.
Two others in the accident are still recovering from their injuries.
