Gun Range Sheriff’s Department Uses Closed for Reported Stray Bullet

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): The gun range used by the Allen County Sheriff's Department is closed.

That's because the New Haven gun range is being investigated for a stray bullet that may have hit the leg of a woman nearby.

The department is investigating whether the bullet that hit her came from the range, where officers were performing drills.

There's also a report that a nearby vehicle in the Cedarwood Trails neighborhood was hit by gunfire at the range, according to our partners in news at 21Alive.

The gun range will remain closed until the investigation is done.
