FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Fire Department's annual “Fill the Boot” fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association was a record-breaking success this year. 

This year's three-day effort from August 27th to the 29th brought in $118,018.82 in donations from the community. Fort Wayne Firefighter and IAFF Local 124 MDA Chairman Randy Zion says he's ecstatic but not surprised, adding that he's humbled by the community's generosity and support. 

A check will be presented to the MDA today at 3pm at Station 15 on Northland Blvd.
