FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne gas prices have seen a series of ups and downs lately, and this past week was another case of “downs.”

GasBuddy reports the average price of a gallon of gas in Fort Wayne was $2.11 yesterday, down 11.5 cents in the past week. Prices yesterday were 37 cents per gallon lower than the same day a year ago, and 7 cents less than a month ago.

This compares to the national average, which went up 3.4 cents per gallon to $2.21 in the last week, and is up a little more than 7 cents over the past month.

Analyst Patrick DeHaan says prices may rise slightly due to Labor Day weekend, but are then expected to fall over the next few weeks.
