FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened at the Hawthorn Suites on Lima Road early this morning.

Police told WANE-TV a couple of men, one of which was armed, came into the hotel and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register at the front desk at about 2:15am.

Police are checking nearby gas stations and the surrounding neighborhood. A K-9 unit was deployed but was unable to find them.
