FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A Fort Wayne house suffered some damage during a fire on Friday.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the 7200 block of Shady Lane around 3 o’clock Friday afternoon where they found smoke coming from the front of the house. 

Only one person was in the home at the time of the fire and was able to self-evacuate before firefighters arrived. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
