FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One of the entryways to downtown Fort Wayne is about to get a makeover.

The city will be spending around $200,000, most of which coming from the city’s Legacy Fund, to spruce up the Clay Street overpass, according to the News-Sentinel.

That includes refurbishment, a fresh coat of paint, decorative lighting, and a 300-foot mural to draw a connection to the city’s artistic attractions like the Performing Arts Center nearby.

The new splash of color should last a couple of decades. Some new pedestrian crossings are also being considered.
