Freezing Rain Snarls Traffic in Much of Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Freezing rain and sleet have made roads slick across much of Indiana, slowing down the morning commute.

Many highways around Indianapolis were jammed with slow traffic Tuesday morning. Police have reported numerous slide-offs and crashes throughout central Indiana, although no serious injuries were immediately reported.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for much of central Indiana and a freezing rain advisory for eastern and southeastern counties. The weather service says the wintry mix will continue through much of Tuesday morning.
