Frostbite, Neglect Case Continues

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The case of woman accused of neglecting her young son causing severe frostbite continues.

Allen Superior Court has entered a guilty plea against twenty-five year old Marquisha Whitten on charges of neglect of a dependent. That’s according our partners in news at 21Alive.

During the frigid cold last week, the woman had her son walk through the snow and cold wearing boots, but no socks or gloves. The case alleges the woman had been drinking just before.

At one point the woman lost her keys and the boy got stuck in the snow The boy’s frostbite was so severe, he could have lost fingers or toes.

Police report her blood-alcohol level was 0.298, almost five times the legal limit.
