FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): You can bet, we haven't seen the last of the frigid temperatures this winter, but heating fuel analysts tell WOWO News, we probably won't see the $4.00 prices we saw last year for propane.
Some of the high prices were due to price gouging, but Attorney General Greg Zoeller reached a settlement that provided affected customers with a credit to their account or a refund.
However, the bigger problem last year was supply and transportation, neither of which are a problem this year. As of today, propane is $2.29 a gallon. Analysts are also predicting that the price will probably stay close to that for the remainder of the heating season.
