FWPD captain accused of misconduct, investigation underway

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A captain with the Fort Wayne Police Department is under investigation for allegations of misconduct.

FWPD Public Information Officer Jeremy Webb confirmed Captain Kevin Hunter is being investigated. He’s one of three officers who lead the department’s Vice and Narcotics Bureau and oversees the Hope and Recovery Team.

As the investigation continues, Hunter has been temporarily reassigned to a lateral position in operations.

Webb said HART, which is a mobile response team that seeks out and actively engages residents of Allen County to support them on their road to recovery with addiction from opioids and stimulants, will continue with minimal interruptions and will be expanded in the future.

Well well well it is about time that his incompetence has caught up to him. Now that Rusty York is unable to save him he has been publicly exposed. I am glad that the FWPD came forward and did not try to hide this case from the media because of politics.

I’ve seen him first hand him help folks that are going through addiction. People that everyone else has written off. To call him “incompetent” is a classic ad hominem.
