Police searching for hit-and-run suspect in fatal high-speed crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Fort Wayne police are searching for a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run in May.

Police say 25-year-old Alejandro Reyes-Villagomez was driving his Dodge Durango RT 115 mph when he blew a red light and slammed into Fabian Garlitz at the intersection of Lima and Till Roads in May.

Garlitz’s passenger, his 12-year-old daughter, is still recovering after suffering life threatening injuries.

Garlitz was pronounced deceased at PRMC and his daughter was flown to Indianapolis do to the severity of her injuries sustained.

Reyes-Villagomez was also hospitalized, but has since fled Fort Wayne. He faces six charges.
