FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Fort Wayne police are searching for a suspect believed to be involved in an armed robbery that occurred at the downtown Mike’s Car Wash on March 16.

The suspect is seen on Mike’s surveillance footage going up to an attendant and asking for change. Once the attendant pulled cash out of her apron, the suspect grabbed all of it and ran southbound on Calhoun Street under the viaduct.

While reviewing the surveillance footage, police discovered the suspect had walked over to Mike’s from the Citilink bus station across the street. Detectives then obtained interior photos of the suspect from the Citilink bus.

Police believe the suspect was also involved in two other robberies downtown; the Riegel Tobacco Shop armed robbery on March 19, and a purse snatching incident on March 23.

If you recognize this man, contact Crime Stoppers at 436-7867.
