German Company Expanding to Wells County

OSSIAN, Ind. (WOWO): A German company is expanding to Wells County.

HALDRUP USA announced they've selected a site in Ossian's industrial park for it's company-owned U.S. facility.

Work could begin later this month. They expect to create as many as 65 new jobs over the next three years.

The 24,000 square-foot building will provide space for offices, storage and manufacturing.

<p>According to a company press release:

HALDRUP has begun hiring for sales, clerical, field service, technical service, engineering, manufacturing and logistics positions in Indiana. Interested applicants may apply by emailing a resume with cover letter to phillip.stoller@haldrup.net.

HALDRUP designs custom field research equipment. With equipment designed from the ground up, the company's systems keep grain together during the threshing process for small plots, aiding universities, agribusinesses and independent service providers in agricultural research.

Following German design and American manufacturing processes, the company is targeting to have all HALDRUP field research equipment sold in the U.S., Canada and South America built in Indiana within the next five years.
