FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Glenbrook Square Sears store will be torn down and redeveloped as the “Shoppes at Glenbrook.”

The News-Sentinel reports Seritage SRC Finance will tear down the store and build a new retail building along with a separate Portillos restaurant on the site. The Chicago-based chain, which also has locations in the Indianapolis area, is known for their specialty hot dogs.

The application filed this week also seeks approval for monument-style signs for Portillos, BJ’s Brewhouse and Chick-fil-A.

The Sears store was one of the mall’s first tenants.

The timing of the demolition of Sears would depend on how quickly tenants are signed according to an attorney with Seritage SRC Finance.
