GM plant to hold recycling event

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If you’re looking to get rid of some old electronics, you may want to stop by Fort Wayne’s GM plant Thursday.

The General Motors Environmental Team is holding a free electronics recycling event Thursday from 4pm to 7pm in the plant’s visitor parking lot, according to a company press release.

They’ll accept a large amount of technology for free, including CD players, computer equipment, gaming consoles, and cell phones.

If you want to recycle a TV it’ll cost you, though, depending on your TV’s size. Sets with 21-inch or smaller screens will be accepted at a cost of 30 cents per pound, while bigger TVs will be accepted for 45 cents per pound. The organizers will only accept cash.
