Over 100 Volunteers Help Fort Wayne Sandbagging Efforts

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The City of Fort Wayne is thanking 130 volunteers that helped with sandbagging efforts Thursday. 

Boy Scouts from Syracuse joined the Air National Guard, University of St. Francis Football Team, Community Corrections, and city staff members from many different departments. 

Bishop Luers High School football players from grades 8 through 12 helped fill sandbags Thursday night. 

Friday, the Wayne High School and Bishop Dwenger High School football teams will help fill bags with sand at the City of Fort Wayne's Street Department Garage on Lafayette Street.
