ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) _ A hearing for an Indiana couple charged with animal cruelty after more than 170 dead animals were found on their farm has been delayed until September.
A Madison County judge agreed Monday to move Daniel and Carrie Ault's disposition hearing to Sept. 30 at the request of their attorney, Bryan Williams. He told the judge that concerns still need to be addressed before the couple's case can be resolved.
The Herald Bulletin reports both sides expect a plea deal will be finalized at the September hearing.
The Aults face 96 counts of improper disposal of a dead animal and 15 counts of animal cruelty.
Authorities charged the couple after 171 animal carcasses and 165 malnourished animals were found on their farm near the town of Summitville in April 2013.
