Ind. Board Considering Tighter Painkiller Rules

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The Indiana Medical Licensing Board is considering tighter rules that doctors would have to follow when prescribing painkillers. The proposal follows concerns about overdose deaths from drugs such as Vicodin, Percocet and Oxycontin. Doctors would be expected to conduct annual saliva or urine tests to make sure the person is taking the medication.
