Indiana Inmate Gets More Time Behind Bars

ANDERSON, Ind. (WOWO) — An Indiana inmate already spending time behind bars for murder is about to get a longer prison sentence for attacking a jail officer.

James Phillips has been convicted of attempted murder for attacking a Pendleton Correctional Facility jailer with a knife inside the jail in 2023.

Phillips was already serving a 55-year term for murder when the assault took place. He could get up to an additional 60 years behind bars.
