Indiana Invests $3.7 Million To Improve Recycling Accessibility

STATEWIDE, (WOWO) — The recycling rate for the state is 19% while the national average is 35%.

Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s Deanna Garner says the state has come a long way since they started taking and reporting the numbers, but she also believes that more needs to be done.

Five organizations are sharing the money through the Recycling Market Development Program.
