Indiana Lawmakers Approve 12 Percent of 2013 Bills

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Measures filed in the Indiana General Assembly this year faced bout 1-in-8 odds of making it to the governor’s desk. Reports say about 12 percent of the bills filed by lawmakers were approved by both the House and Senate during this year’s session. Legislators filed more than 1,250 bills this year and gave final approval to just 148.
