Economist Expects Lower Gas Prices This Summer

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP): A Purdue University economist says he expects gas prices this summer to be lower than last year. Energy economics specialist Wally Tyner expects prices in the Midwest to be between $3.50 and $3.90 a gallon. Tyner says greater fuel efficiency and increased production should result in lower crude oil prices.
