DANVILLE, Ind. (AP): An American Legion post in central Indiana is planning an event honoring Hoosier men and women in the military as well as their families. The annual Indiana Blue Star Salute honors the sacrifices made by family members of those serving on active duty and in the Reserve and National Guard. The salute is named for a tradition of putting a blue star in a window if a family member is serving on active duty.
