INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Indiana tourist destinations that rely on federally-run parks to help attract visitors are hoping the partial federal government shutdown ends quickly and doesn't hurt local businesses.

The shutdown that entered its fourth day Friday has closed or limited access to the federal forests and parkland, including the 13,000-acre Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.
 
That northern Indiana park is a popular destination for guests checking into the At Home In The Woods Bed and Breakfast in nearby Chesterton. Owner Victoria Phillips says she hopes the “government gets it together so we can have our parks back.”
 
In southwestern Indiana, Vincennes/Knox County tourism executive director Shyla Beam says visitors have expressed unhappiness that the George Rogers Clark National Historical Park is closed. That park honors American troops' 1779 victory over the British.
