Indiana Woman Charged in Connection with Toddler Son’s Death

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ A 25-year-old Indianapolis woman faces neglect charges alleging that she failed to protect her son from a man charged in the toddler's beating death.

Dominique Parks was charged Tuesday with three counts of child neglect in connection with the death of her 2-year-old her son Cameron. She remained jailed Wednesday on a $50,000 bond and court records do not list any attorney who could speak on her behalf.

The Indianapolis Star reports (http://indy.st/1O7c25L) 21-year-old Diquan Williams faces murder, battery and neglect charges in an Oct. 14 beating that led to Cameron's death.

Prosecutors say Parks left her son in Williams' care when she went to work and found the boy unresponsive when she returned home. Investigators say Parks delayed seeking medical help that might have saved the child's life.
