FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If you're getting ready for winter, you're not alone.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has been inspecting snow and ice equipment at their dispatch locations across the state, they'll have visited all 14 of the Fort Wayne district's units by the end of the month.
INDOT will be looking at their trucks, bumper to bumper, for any repairs that need to be made, and their drivers will have to undergo their annual mandatory snow and ice training.
INDOT's Fort Wayne District is responsible for 140 snow routes in 17 counties in Northeast Indiana, maintaining 4,799 lane miles of roadway, 525 lane miles of interstate and 742 state bridges.
