Indy 500 Travel

INDIANA, Ind. (WOWO): A crowd of over 300,000 fans is expected to flock to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend, as the 98th Indianapolis 500 gets set to take the green flag, which will lead to an influx of traffic around the Speedway area.

 

Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials recommend that spectators arrive in the Marion County area no later than 8:00 a.m., to ensure getting to the track on time and to experience all of the pre-race entertainment and the start of the race.

 

Keep in mind that starting at 7:00 a.m., Georgetown Road in Indianapolis will be closed between 16th Street and 25th Street which surrounds the speedway grounds.

 

Also don't forget, you can hear the 98th running of the Indianapolis 500, beginning at 11:00 a.m., this Sunday, on WOWO 1190AM/92.3FM.
