Indy Family Displaced by Explosion Moves Forward

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ An Indianapolis family displaced by a deadly house explosion last fall is racing the clock to get into its new home at the same site.

Vicky Koerner and her family need to move in by the end of July because their rental home is being sold. She tells The Indianapolis Star the flurry of construction on her home and others is an important step toward moving forward in the devastated neighborhood.

Koerner says many builders are buying up empty lots and that people do not seem afraid to return to the Richmond Hill neighborhood.

Two of Koerner's neighbors and another man are awaiting trial in the blast that investigators say was intentionally set.
