FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An internet prostitution sweep, targeting people advertising escort services on an internet, has lead to the arrest of a Fort Wayne woman and six other women.

On Monday, Fort Wayne investigators made contact with a woman, who was later arrested for misdemeanor prostitution. During this specific investigation, detectives observed 27-year-old Sonnie Thompson deliver this woman by vehicle to a hotel where the prostitution case occurred.

Upon further investigation, evidence showed that Thompson was directly involved in promoting prostitution in this case. Thompson was arrested on Tuesday, and is currently being held without bond for promoting prostitution in this case.

During this prostitution sweep six (6) separate women were arrested for misdemeanor prostitution charges.
