MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) — Detectives are investigating the death of 36-year-old, J Trinidad Ramirez at the Miami Correctional Facility. The Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division at the Peru Post launched the probe on November 26, 2025, following a request from the prison.
The investigation is being conducted with assistance from the Miami County Coroner’s Office and facility investigators. An autopsy has been completed to determine the exact cause of death.
Officials confirmed that the inmate’s family has been notified. Authorities describe the case as active and ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
