CHURUBUSCO, Ind. (WOWO) — A months-long undercover investigation by the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has led to the arrest of a Churubusco man on multiple felony charges.
State police say the investigation began with an ICAC undercover operation that eventually resulted in detectives obtaining a search warrant for a home near County Roads 500 East and 500 North in Whitley County.
During the search, investigators identified evidence that led to the arrest of 74-year-old James Franklin of Churubusco. Franklin is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography, all Level 5 felonies. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Whitley County Jail.
The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, the Churubusco Police Department, and the Whitley County Prosecutor’s Office assisted in the investigation.
