INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Lee Christie has been elected to serve as the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission district two representative. The Commission recruits and interviews applicants to fill vacancies on the appellate courts, submits candidates to the governor for appointment, selects the Chief Justice of Indiana, and certifies former state judges as Senior Judges to serve in Indiana courts. Counties in District 2 include Adams, Blackford, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Wabash, Wells, among others. More than 7,000 ballots were sent to attorneys eligible to vote in the district.
