Indiana State Police conducted a four month investigation on 50 year old Charles Scott Defabritis of Kokomo.  They say Defabritis  obtained several farm loans totaling around $600,000 using false information and collateral.  They also say payments were not made on the loan.

After repossession of the property, the total loss of the loan remains around $300,000.  The Grand County Prosecutor has charged Defabritis with 2 counts of Corrupt Business Influence, Fraud on a Financial Institution and Theft.

Defabritis was taken into custody without incident and incarcerated in the Grant County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
