LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A LaGrange man was arrested after police say he tried to kill someone.

Brian C. Combs, 33, was arrested on a preliminary charge of attempted murder, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.

At about 6:35 p.m. Sunday, crews were called to South 200 East near East 100 South on reports of a battery complaint. When officers arrived, they found a badly beaten unresponsive man on the property.

Police believe Combs beat a 33-year-old Angola man. The victim was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital for multiple severe injuries, according to police.

The incident is under investigation.
