Lagrange County traffic stop leads to drug bust

WOLCOTTVILLE, Ind. (WOWO): Three people were arrested in Wolcottville after a routine traffic stop turned into a drug bust and more.

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department says deputies stopped a car on State Road 9 for a traffic violation, but then they realized two of the three people in the car had active warrants.

A further search with a department K9 unit led to deputies finding heroin, needles and drug paraphernalia. The driver and both passengers were arrested. Their charges are below:

The driver, Stephanie Aalfs of South Bend, was arrested for possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a hypodermic needle, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

One passenger, Myranda Shanley of Nappanee, was arrested for possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a hypodermic needle, visiting a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia. plus an Elkhart County warrant.

Another passenger, Trevor Aalfs, was charged with visiting a common nuisance and on an Elkhart County warrant.
