FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  The Fort Wayne NAACP has announced they will join a prayer vigil for Michael Brown.

On Sunday, August 17th at 2 p.m., the Fort Wayne/Allen County NAACP Branch 3049 will join a local prayer vigil for the Brown family.  The gathering will take place on the Allen County-Courthouse Green.  

The vigil is in response to the police shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, where 18 year old Michael Brown was killed in an altercation.  Rose Haney will deliver the prayer.
