Man Arrested for Pizza Restaurant Robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Police arrested a man last night for an armed robbery at a downtown Fort Wayne restaurant.

Fort Wayne Police spokesman Michael Joyner says officers were callled to the Pizza King on West State a little before midnight and told by panicked employees there that a man with a gun had robbed the place. An officer spotted a man matching witness descriptions a half hour later near the restaurant; 19-year-old Taylor Hunt ran, but was soon caught after he fell while climbing over a fence.

Police found a handgun and some cash on him, and he was charged with robbery, resisting law enforcement and having a gun without a permit.
