Man Charged for Setting Dog on Fire

MARION, Ind. (WOWO): A Marion man is facing animal abuse charges after allegedly setting the family dog on fire.

18-year-old Brennan Cooper claims that his dad was upset with the dog and wanted it gone.

Brennen told officers he assumed that his father meant he wanted the dog dead. The father’s girlfriend saw what was happening and put out the flames.

Bud was taken to an animal hospital for an examination and treatment.

He suffered extreme burns to his stomach and rear legs, but is expected to recover from his injuries.
