Man Crashes Stolen Car into Home, Police Say Alcohol a Factor

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): One man is in stable condition after he crashed a stolen car into a home. 22-year-old Donald Overbay was driving the stolen Hyundai Elantra west on CR 60 Sunday morning just before 10:00 when he over corrected, slid sideways and crashed into a home on CR 60, near CR 17, knocking part of the home off its foundation. The Elantra overturned, landed on its roof, and caught fire. Overbay was pulled from the vehicle by the homeowner. He suffered several injuries and was taken to Parkview Regional, where he was last listed in stable condition. According to DeKalb County Police, alcohol was a contributing factor to the crash. Charges are pending further investigation.
