Man slain outside home in Jennings County

NORTH VERNON, Ind. (AP): Police say a man was fatally shot in the front yard of his home in a small southern Indiana city during an argument with another man.
The Jennings County coroner says 24-year-old Jeremy Moore of North Vernon was shot in the chest Monday and dead upon arrival at a hospital.

North Vernon police say a 57-year-old man from the nearby community of Commiskey was arrested without incident at the scene on preliminary charges of reckless homicide.

Black says a neighbor heard a single shot, then saw Moore on the ground with the other man standing over him waving his arms frantically. Police didn't release details about the argument in the 7,000-person city about 50 miles south of Indianapolis.
