Manchester University to Offer Master’s in Pharmacogenomics

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) _ Manchester University in Fort Wayne has announced it will offer a master's degree in pharmacogenomics.

The intensive one-year program is designed to propel graduates into well-paying jobs in the emerging field of pharmacogenomics, which involves an individual's genes and their response to medications. 

Program Director David Kisor says it is designed for individuals with an undergraduate science degree or a professional degree in health care or health sciences. Graduates can expect career opportunities in biological technology, genetic testing laboratories and the pharmaceutical industry.

Classes are scheduled to begin in the summer.
