FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Today, Mayor Tom Henry will announce his selection for Deputy Mayor.

The announcement will come at 1 P.M. at the Mayor's office in Citizens Square.

The position has been open since mid-August. Most recent Deputy Mayor Mark Becker is now President and CEO of Greater Fort Wayne, Inc.

Duties of the Chief Operating Officer include managing relationships between the City Council and the administration, representing the Mayor at events, and managing and coordinating programs with different divisions and departments, among other responsibilities.
