FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A new music festival will come to Fort Wayne late this summer.
“Middle Waves,” a destination music festival, will come to the riverfront at Headwaters Park 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16 and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.
The festival is open to all ages and offers live music, interactive river and art activities, local food trucks and vendors, artists, culture-makers and VIP experiences.
The festival will feature more than 20 musical performers including The Flaming Lips, Best Coast, Doomtree, JEFF the Brotherhood and local acts Either/Or, Metavari and Heaven’s Gateway Drugs.
“There’s a growing excitement and energy for all things riverfront. The community has made it clear they are hungry for events in the heart of Fort Wayne, specifically on the banks of our rivers,” Festival Co-Chair Allison Gerardot said.
Shortly after the announcement, tickets went on sale online and at the Arts United ArtsTix box office.
“Early bird” ticket prices are $65 for a two-day GA ticket and $125 for VIP.
