Mother to Undergo Evaluation in Owen Collins Murder Case

BLUFFTON, Ind. (WOWO): The mother of Owen Collins, the three-year-old Bluffton boy who's body was discovered burned in a box in Wells County will likely undergo a psychological evaluation.

Today the Wells County judge in the case has approved spending as much $3,500 to conduct the competency exam for 21-year-old Breanna Arnold.

The coroner ruled the boy died from blunt force trauma.

Last week, Arnold's 31-year-old boyfriend, Zachary Barnes pleaded guilty to murder in the January death.

Barnes will sentenced in August. Arnold will also appear in court in August.
